The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied terrorist militias linked to the former regime persist in their crimes against innocent civilians.

On Sat., May 11, the SAF launched aerial bombings in the area of Moreikib, west of the city of Obeid, in North Kordofan State. This horrid attack resulted in the deaths of 27 innocent civilians and left more than 40 others injured, including women and children. Dozens of livestock were also killed, while public facilities and Quran schools were destroyed.

The SAF’s targeting of innocent civilians by indiscriminately dropping barrel bombs on residential neighborhoods is a heinous violation of international law and humanitarian norms, as outlined in the Geneva Conventions. These actions highlight the SAF's blatant disregard for human life, as it increasingly resorts to attacking unarmed civilians by air following its successive humiliations on the battlefield. This reflects the deep-seated confusion and desperation within its ranks.

As we unequivocally condemn the SAF’s barbaric practices and systematic targeting of innocent civilians, we urge the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of the repeated crimes committed by the SAF and its allied extremist militias against the Sudanese people.

We reaffirm the commitment of our courageous Rapid Support Forces (RSF) soldiers to defeat this terror-driven group, which is motivated by their bloodlust for the civilian population of Sudan. We reassure residents of Kordofan and all other areas targeted by the SAF and its terrorist patrons from the former regime that we remain steadfast in our mission to fulfill the people's aspirations for freedom, peace, and justice.
